SUMMARY:

The purpose of the article is to analyse and explain the concept of domestic violence, demonstrate the complexity of the problem and examine the system for protecting victims of violence and for counteracting violence. The text also presents the legislative changes made to the Act of 29 July 2005 on Counteracting Domestic Violence and discusses the solutions introduced.
